At the heart of this virtual course are simple yet deep practices to explore Nonviolent Communication as a whole-body/mind, lifelong art and practice for listening empathically through tough conversations, finding common ground and speaking your truth with power and compassion.
Becoming What You Need is a 12-week immersion focused on resourcing the wisdom of our bodies and creating sustainable personal practices. Over the course of three months, you’ll develop the skills to move more gracefully under pressure, connect to your core needs, live more purposefully, and cultivate meaningful relationships. This course also serves as a foundation for Somatic Consensus training and a stepping stone toward our Leadership and Trainer Training Program in October 2025. As a cohort of 25, we’ll build trust and explore relationships in depth, accelerating our learning together. This accredited Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training will help you deepen into the consciousness that underlies NVC practice, while enhancing your ability to take action with grace, align with your values, and create community wherever you go.
This 12-session series offers an integrated physical, emotional, and linguistic map for practicing and embodying the qualities you wish to live by within yourself and your community. Here we take the time and space to establish an awareness of emotions during challenging and triggering moments – your body’s signals become an inner guidance system that brings direction and clarity. You are able to stay present during times of conflict, enabling you to continue listening empathically while exploring collaborative strategies that honor everyone’s needs.
During this Course you will…
- Invigorate empathic listening faculties
- Discharge the anxiety held in old embodied reactions
- Make decisions and take actions that align with your values
- Cultivate resources for building community more capably and enjoyably
